Solo Leveling Critique

⚠️ Note that this critique will be based on the first four volumes, and will be spoiling the story for those volumes in its entirety. 🔖 Incomplete post is incomplete and very much bad. It’s probably not going to be finished, so keep that in mind. Although I have read a fair few Japanese light novels at this point, Solo Leveling is the first officially translated Korean novel I have ever read.

The Suicide of Rachel Foster Critique

⚠️ Spoiler warning for the game. If you haven’t watched it yourself, then I would recommend doing so before reading this post. 🔖 Incomplete post is incomplete and very much bad. It’s probably not going to be finished, so keep that in mind. Narrative driven games are hard to get right, arguably more so than a “normal” game. You not only have to nail the story, but also the audio visual elements as well.

A Rant About Attack on Titan

I should preface this post by saying that I was never and wont ever bother to invested too much time “getting into” Attack on Titan’s story. The first season was great in that way an action shounen anime is, but I never cared much beyond that. As such, it should also go without saying that this critique, or whatever I should call it, will not be too detailed, and will no doubt get things wrong and so on.

Martha is Dead Critique

Before we dive into it, it’s worth mentioning that even if the name of the game doesn’t already ring a bell, the controversy of Soyny demanding certain imagery and/or scenes be censored was a fairly big topic in the gaming sphere a while back. With that in mind, if anyone should want to play the game then going for either the PC or Xbox versions should be preferable. Martha is Dead is not an action game, it does not contain any QTEs or anything of the like – it’s purely a story told through the interactive medium of a game.
